| After you finish reading this page about how really toxic pork is, especially with its little publicized AIDS-like heat resistant porcine endogenous retroviruses that can put those with weakened stomach acidity at risk, you should be more inclined to believe that it is about as likely that the Bible's Old Testament dietary laws have been abolished, as it is likely that the good advice to not try to pet coiled rattlesnakes, has been abolished. Not many people, also, are aware of the amount of invisible (invisible to the naked eye), hidden, harmful fat embedded right inside the muscle cells of pigs, a problem "clean" meats do not have. On the INTRODUCTION page in the directory to your left a close analysis of the original Greek in the often quoted Colossians 2:14 and Ephesians 2:15 shows that these verses do not support the abolition of the dietary laws or any Old Testament law, contrary to what most ministers keep trying to tell you, and even contrary to what many if not most anti-Old Testament leaning English Bibles seem to say. Apparently Jesus never killed or endangered any living animal except the pig as revealed in Mark 5:2-17. Jesus allowed 2,000 pigs to die, and the Bible does not record that He expressed any concern for the loss of the pigs as a source of food. Our Savior was not wasteful with food as shown in John 6:12-13 in which He commanded the Apostles to gather up the bread scraps for a future meal after a separate miraculous event. The Scriptures also do not record that Jesus was concerned about the huge economic loss to the local pig farmers who urged Him to leave the area after the death of the pigs, which all indicates that Jesus did not consider pork edible, and that the farmers should not have been raising pigs in the first place, further reinforcing the continuing validity of the dietary laws. PIGS DO NOT REGURGITATE THEIR FOOD AND CHEW IT AGAIN, one of the strict Biblical requirements for four legged animals to be "clean," or edible for human consumption according to Leviticus 11:7-8. Pigs were divinely created to be useful, organic garbage disposal units to help clean up our environment, to be the eaters, not the eaten. These scavengers eat almost anything, including their own waste and the decaying, sometimes cancerous carcasses of other animals. These animals that can almost be called walking sewers were not created for human consumption, and the Mosaic laws strictly forbid eating pork or pork derivatives, which include pepperoni, the number one pizza topping in America, in which a major ingredient is pork, or even touching a dead pig (invisible parasitic worms or their eggs on pig skin can later accidentally be ingested, etc.). The subcutaneous layer of fat often protects pigs from poisonous snake bites according to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_venom and other websites. 2) Most people believe pork is safe to eat if the 19 + different kinds of worms and parasites that can infect pigs are killed by cooking to around 170 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. That is what I thought, too, until I discovered two websites that disagreed. Realtruth.org/articles/263-apt.html said that research has shown that notorious, invisible to the naked eye trichinella spirella roundworms that can cause debilitating trichinosis can survive temperatures close to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, which is far above normal cooking temperatures. Ensignmessage.com/archives/porkfacts.html said that there is no safe temperature at which pork can be cooked to guarantee that all the parasites, including their resilient cysts and eggs, will be killed. To kill all those harmful things I guess you could cook pork at around 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit in a specialized gas fired oven such as those used in steel mills to make large, steel slabs flexible, a temperature at which it would spontaneously ignite into flames, but who would want to eat black, charred, and crumbly pork that tastes like dust or probably even worse which now contains carcinogenic, polycyclic carbon molecules created from burning pork? The parasitic worm causing trichinosis, after ingestion, can lodge in our intestines, burrow through them and enter the bloodstream to relocate in muscle, organ, brain, or other tissues in our bodies. The symptoms of trichinosis can be mistaken for typhoid, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, meningitis, rheumatism, fever, and a host of other serious diseases. Toxoplasmosis and taeniasis (tapeworm) are some more parasitic diseases acquired by eating pork products. An article in Readers's Digest in their March, 1950 issue essentially said that pork contains "a myriad number of baffling and sinister parasites." 3) Unlike the Biblically clean cow which has 4 different stomachs or digestive chambers, pigs have only one stomach to try to purify or filter out poisons and parasites. During rumination a fermentation process in Biblically "clean" larger animals such as cattle, deer, bison, sheep, antelope, and camels with cloven hooves kills most diseases in the food resulting in meat that is much safer to eat compared to pork. Cud chewing, clean animals like cows require 24 or more hours to convert their food, vegetation, which has a much lower concentration of toxins to begin with, into flesh, but omnivorous pigs convert ingested food into swine flesh in only about 2 to 5 hours, which means less time is spent on neutralizing or filtering out toxins and parasites before new flesh is formed. These poorly filtered or poorly neutralized parasites and toxins are usually deposited into fat. Yes, some Biblically sanctioned food such as chickens and fish do have only one stomach, but such animals generally are more particular in what they eat, avoiding more potentially harmful, toxic food compared to what pigs will readily eat. 4) The pig, almost a walking sewer, often collects and absorbs so many toxins that God created a "sewer line" or artery running down each leg. Go to any pig farm and lift the front hoof of a pig. Then apply a little pressure to its toes. Toxin loaded pus, sometimes green colored, will ooze out from between the toes!! This is an outlet that tries to drain various poisons the pig's body has not been able to handle. Sometimes these oozing arteries, called "poison ducts" or "running sores" become clogged from wallowing and walking around in mud and filth, returning the toxins to the pig's body. When this happens the pig has trouble walking because its feet have become sore. These returning toxins can become so poisonous even to the pig that farmers must send the pig to the market for slaughter before it dies. The people who eat those sick pigs therefore consume more poison than the Lord ever intended even filthy pigs to carry!! 5) A mink farm in New Holstein, Wisconsin once ordered beef livers to feed to their minks they were raising. The supplier made a mistake and accidentally shipped pig livers instead. Some of the minks that ate the liver developed cancer within a few days, and some minks after ingesting the livers developed gastro-intestinal illnesses so severe that they bled to death!! Every single mink that ate the polluted livers soon died!! 6) Since the meat and fat of pigs absorb toxins like a sponge, their meat can be more toxic than beef or venison. The family some time later butchered one of those hogs and ate it. Then some of the family members became so sick from mercury poisoning that they died, and others suffered severe brain damage. The mercury had been absorbed by the hog, probably into its fat mostly, but the hog did not die or show any signs of mercury poisoning. Further evidence that pigs can absorb some poisons that humans, for example, cannot, has come from Britain. According to navs.org.uk/media_centre/35/0/712 pigs can be safely sedated with etorphine hydrochloride, which is toxic to humans, and sometimes fatal. 7) Leviticus 3:17: "It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations ........ that you eat neither fat nor blood." Medical science, verifying the health benefits from obeying the above verse, has shown that a direct cause and effect relationship exists between excessive consumption of fat and heart disease. Most of the fat in lean beef, for example, and other Biblically clean meats, is in fat cells which is visibly isolated from the meat cells and can be easily trimmed away. A major portion of the fat in pork, however, is not isolated from the meat. I remember the sensation of chewing cooked pork chops when I was a kid, which seemed different compared to other meats. The pork chops always felt or tasted gritty, which I realize now was caused by tiny, hardened fat particles actually embedded inside the meat cells. Consumption of pork therefore involves two sins: ingestion of forbidden fat and ingestion of forbidden swine. 8) Unlike many other animals, pigs don't sweat. Perspiration is a means by which toxins are removed from the body. Since pigs don't sweat, the toxins have a greater tendency to remain in their bodies and their meat compared to perspiring animals. 9) Pork generally has a higher concentration of fat per ounce of meat than beef, lamb, poultry, and of course fish according to common knowledge and a host of websites. 10) In factory farms about 70% of the pigs have pneumonia by the time they are sent to the slaughterhouse because of the extremely crowded conditions, filth, and poor ventilation. When you eat ham, bacon, sausage, or wieners additional unprescribed doses of antibiotics can enter your body and kill off part of the beneficial bacterial populations in your intestines, allowing the harmful bacteria and fungi to proliferate more than they would otherwise. 11) Commercial pigs will not always gorge themselves when given an unlimited supply of food, so they are often treated with hormones that induce a constant state of hunger to make them eat and become fatter.These hormones and drugs are stored in their fat, which your body in turn stores in the form of pig fat when you eat them, which can be harmful. 12) When white mice are fed pork, they develop cancer more often and succumb to more fatal illnesses than other mice that are fed with food that does not include pork, according to a documented study by H. H. Reckeweg, M.D. 13) Some fish farmers use pork meat to kill off unwanted fish populations, such as trout. 14) According to Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg in his book Biological Therapy, soldiers in North Africa during World War II became ill in ever increasing numbers. They were suffering from "tropical ulcers" involving abscesses on the lower part of their legs. The ulcerations often became so severe that the soldiers became unfit to fight and required lengthy hospital confinement. Every possible treatment was used to try to cure the disease, with no success. Someone eventually suggested that the soldiers' diets could be the cause of the ulcers since the local natives showed no signs of the disease. Pork was then removed from the soldiers' food rations (their war time rations contained cooked, not raw pork), which was one of the least expensive meats available at the time, and the men adopted a diet much like that eaten by the Islamic population. PERV caused diseases in humans do not appear at this time to be a major, immediately detectable problem for those eating pork products just like flesh eating Vibrio vulnificus bacterial infections are not a major problem for most people who eat forbidden oysters (such infections do continue to occur from eating oysters as explained on my FORBIDDEN FOOD page), but why expose yourself to the proven potential of contracting illnesses, some possibly still unidentified by science, from eating pork loaded with sinister PERVS? The AIDS retrovirus can lay dormant for as long as 10 years before showing symptoms, and PERVs likewise can remain dormant in humans for years before any sign of an ailment develops. People with low stomach acid levels such as some elderly individuals may be more susceptible to PERV infection since normal stomach acidity, fortunately, can kill retroviruses. 18) The lungs of pigs are a major component of sausage. Corn has been shown to be universally contaminated with potentially very harmful, carcinogenic mycotoxins, which are the poisons produced by fungi in the corn that has usually been stored some place for a long time. If given a choice, most animals refuse to eat these modified crops. So when you eat bacon, sausage, pork contaminated salami, or other pork products, you're getting a double dose of carcinogenic toxins, both natural and manmade. 22) Pig kidneys extract a much smaller percentage of URIC ACID from blood when compared to other animals such as the cow. Yes, some New Testament verses translated in to the English language (sometimes sloppily translated) definitely do seem to say that the Mosaic laws have been abolished, but not when the original Greek is closely analyzed. To make matters even worse, not just some, but the majority of translators are actually anti-Old Testament leaning. If you don't believe that look at what they added at the end of Mark 7:19 in most English Bibles!! That highly deceptive, unconscionable, almost unforgiveable comment about the dietary laws !! IS NOT !! found in the more accurate King James Bible and certainly not in the original Greek. How about that? That is something you should get excited about and try to tell the whole world about, instead of doing nothing, which helps those translators to continue getting away with what they have done. Both the Old and New Testaments then become harmonious, as they of course should be, instead of ocassionally contradictory, and Jesus' dire, extremely terrifying warning in Matthew 7:21-23, using the anomia word, about living apart from the moral and civil Mosaic laws, makes sense. The Apostles went out of their way to specifically single out the sacrificial laws and circumcision as having been abolished, but not the rest of the Mosaic laws. Mainstream ministers, totally ignoring the literal definition of the original Greek word anomia (defined as breaking any Biblical law whatsoever, including the Mosaic laws), loosely translated into the English word "lawlessness" in verse 23, as a result always have considerable trouble explaining Matthew 7:21-23 because they mistakenly believe many Old Testament laws, including the dietary laws, have been done away with. The now nullified Old Covenant (the Old Covenant, which is separate from most, still valid Old Testament laws) promised only physical blessings for obedience, not the gifts of the Holy Spirit and immortality which the much better New Covenant (with New Testament laws combined also with many Old Testament laws) now promises to those that obey all the still applicable Biblical laws. ...........................
